Who is ŪGU (Oo-Goo)?
Hola, Mariposa — Eye go by ŪGU (she/they) Queer Trans Two-Spirit Indigenous Mexican Descendant.
Poet. Writer. Dancer. Philosopher. Earth Keeper. Medicine Guardian & Steward. Voice for the Land & Ancestors.
Why ŪGU?
It is a Soul name that was given to me by my Ancestors in the dream time. It comes from the Igbo language of Nigeria. Ugu is a medicinal plant used in soups and stews to support the blood & body. Spiritually this plant is used for protection, attraction, good fortune & favor.

Eye come from Indigenous Mexican descent, while there is small percentages of African ancestry in my blood, eye adopt this name not to appropriate but to honor and respect the blessing of my Ancestors who gifted me the name.
My journey of returning to the Self has allowed me to reconnect to my indigenous roots from the central Americas (Mexico), the traditional medicines of my Ancestors and remind me that everything outside of me is a reflection of everything within. Therefore, if eye desire to live the life of my dreams all eye have to do is return to my Heart and create my reality from the truth of my internal frequency of Love, Gratitude & Abundance.
My path was made clear to me at the age of 21 to walk a path of medicine in service to Spirit and ever since eye have been dedicated to evolving into the version of me that can hold that. The version that shows up in Service, Integrity, Love, Devotion, Stewardship and Magick.
Over time, eye realized what was missing from my practice wasn’t more information or spells— it was integration and nervous system regulation in relation to what eye was already practicing.
My journey… where to begin… what eye can say with full certainty is that the journey itself is as beautiful as it is chaotic and through each phase learned to have gratitude for all of it. At this eye live through embodiment from the wisdom & medicine that eye received from all of life’s initiations encouraging me to continue returning & leading from the Heart.
Every phase of life taught me to be more resilient, more persistent and to return to my FAITH. To TRUST in the guidance of my Heart, my Ancestors, the Land and SPIRIT. No matter how hard it got whether it was living on the street or living with family eye kept pushing with BELIEF that everything was working out for my highest good.
Presently we are now on the other side of all of life’s trials and our Heart is very CLEAR with how we want to be of service to this planet and the humans that inhabit it.
Eye am here to shake sh!t up and break the spell of illusion that we are not the co-creators of our reality.
We ain’t living in the Matrix anymore.
We ARE the Matrix. Type in them cheat codes.
Eye speak from lived experience and devotion to the path of evolution that ANYTHING is POSSIBLE when we operate from the Heart with Love, Trust, Belief, Faith & Integrity.
